Shakespeare’s Plot-
Henry IV, Part 1-Henry Percy a brave soldier decides to raise a rebel army to dispose the king. The King's son prince Henry, known as Hal was summoned by
his father to fight Henry Percy's rebel army. Hal proved himself by killing Henry Percy. The king’s troops are victorious and make plans to defeat the remaining rebels.

Richard III- Richard, brother of King Edward IV, tells him that their brother Clarence is plotting treason. Clarence is then arrested then Richard kills him.
King Edward then dies. Richard arranges for the deaths of the two princes so he can become king. Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond, arrives in England with an
army to fight Richard’s army. Richmond kills Richard and is declared Henry VII

Romeo and Juliet- The two leading families of Verona, the Capulets and the Montagues are feuding. Romeo, a Montague, falls in love with Juliet, a Capulet,
One night at a ball. That night he waits under her window and hears her speak of her love for him. He then declares his love for her and they secretly get
married the next day. Tybalt, a Capulet, kills Romeo’s friend. Romeo then kills Tybalt. Juliet’s father then wants her o marry Paris. The friar arranges for her to
take a potion, which will make her seem dead for two days. Romeo then hears that Juliet is dead and kills Paris who was there by Juliet. Then he kisses Juliet
takes poison and dies. Juliet awakens and sees what has happened. She then stabs herself. The two families ended their feud after the tragedy.


Types of Plays-

Tragedies- his most famous and popular plays. They contain his best known characters, such as Romeo and Juliet. Titus Andronicus and Romeo and Juliet were his first two tragedies. Hamlet was another big one.

Comedies- aren’t necessarily funny. Examples: twelfth night,

Poetry-The phoenix and the turtle. Wrote many poems called sonnets
